My Big Doodle.
When I wake you girls up in the morning (because you and Baby Charlotte amazingly share a room with suprising success every night), I say “Wake up, Doodlebugs!”
I kiss Charlotte and say “Good morning, Little doodle.”
Then I kiss you and say “My big Doodlebug. Good morning!”
I have some cute stories for you.
One night, and this has been a few weeks ago, you were playing I Grandma and Grandpa’s room, which is your favorite place to be in the evenings and you came out, super excited.
“WATCH THIS!” You said, in total serious excitement. You took your ordinary, non sound making magic play wand and waved it. Out of nowhere, a “dah-bling!” noise sounded, like it came from the magic wand. Your face was priceless. You did it again and again. I glanced back at the bedroom and did not see grandpa, who was assisting with special effects. I SO wish I had had a video of that moment. Your face was utter shock and joyful surprise.
I also adore (and maybe this is just a little bit bad, but really I can’t help myself. I think it is so sweet and adorable when you completely mispronounce things.
You were trying to carry a small foam couch and you kept dropping it. I said it was hard to carry because it is “Cumbersome”. You said “Cum- sum-mum”. We giggled and we said “No baby, cum-ber-some”. You sighed, like you were tired of trying to teach it correctly to US and said again “Cum-sum-um.”
You also still mispronounce “gingerbread men”. You used to call them “Jimmie jam men”.. Now you call them “ginnie red” cookies.
