The Princess and the Boo Boos

Well, here was the plan:  For 3 days, I had planned to take you to see your third movie, "The Princess and the Frog".  It was going to be great.  You and me, just us, spending time together, along with my friend Kathy and your friend, Cameron.  I was so excited!  You were so excited!

Here's what happened.

It started going downhill at lunch.  We went to a Japanese Steakhouse for Aunt Dee's Birthday Lunch.  You did not like the fact that things kept bursting into flames.  I can't blame you for that, really.

Well, after that, we went to the movie.  We got all dressed up in our costumes and headed off to watch the movie.  There were a few other kids in costumes, but not many.

Kathy and Cameron came and since it was his first movie, he was not sure how to react.  Some people in the audience thought we were a little bit too loud during the movie.  That was fine, since we had probably reached 20 minutes of the movie and were beginning to get wiggly anyway.

So, we decided to go for a walk around Carytown.  We headed over to World of Mirth to play dressup as their fabulous dress up mirror.  We had the best time playing with the umbrellas and hats.

However... after this, we continued to walk and play, and you, my sweet girl.. got what you have talked about non-stop for an entire day since.  Not the "Princess and the Frog" like I had planned.  Nope!  All you talk about are your two spectacular BOO BOOs.  :)  Yup, you hit the sidewalk full speed chasing after Cameron.  Your poor knees didn't stand a chance.  I think part of it was your shoes.. the buckle kept breaking so I finally got you a new pair yesterday.

Anyway.. you had a great time, earned some battle scars and spent time with a friend. So despite the fact that almost nothing went according to the plans I had made in my head, it just goes to show- you teach me things all the time. That day, you taught me to roll with the punches. (and the boo boos).
