Children's Museum
For a few seconds, I lost you and was calling your name in a panic. I found you here, although blurry, it is essentially Ruby. You are singing loudly, on stage, staring at yourself into a mirror.
This is a craft you made at Miss Courtney's yesterday.
Me and my lovebugs this morning.
You told your teacher, Mrs Jansen that your brother Henry was your best friend. How sweet is that?
You and your cousins, Rub a dub dub, 4 kids in a tub. Just don't ask me what Maddie's drinking. (YUMM BATHWATER)
Starting Preschool
Big girl!!!! You started preschool with Mrs Jansen this year and you wrote your own name (without reversing any of the letters, I might add) ALL BY YOURSELF on your HELLO KITTY lunchbox.
You are so proud of yourself. But not as proud as I am!
Oh.. now this. You are very particular about being a girl. You don't like to drink from cups with boyish logos or dress in boy looking clothes. So this was something you did to be funny, but then decided you didn't like looking like a boy, so I had to chase you down as you took it off.

Accidental Comedian
We made banana bread with the breadmaker today. When it was ready, we were taking some "Banana Cake" to grandma and grandpa and I gave you two bowls to carry to them. When we got to the bedroom, you bypassed Grandpa, who had his hand out, to give a bowl to Grandma and then took the second bowl and said to him very sweetly, while grabbing the second fork, "Yours will be coming RIGHT up."
We all busted out laughing.
Also, upstairs, Charlotte was hiding behind the curtain and I was playing a game with her. I said "Where is Charlotte? Where did she go?" and you pointed to her. I winked at you a few times and you scrunched up your own eye and said "Why are you doing that with your eye?"

Egocentrism at its cutest
Dear Ruby,
Funny Story.
So we were riding home from the playroom, my goal to wear you two girls out so you slept for your nap was in place and it was raining. I tried to explain to you that we weren't going back to school shoe shopping b/c of the rain and that we would get all wet.
You said, "We won't get wet mama". I said no, the only one who had a raincoat was Charlotte.
You said "It's okay mama, I will wear Charlotte's raincoat and then we won't get wet!"
I smiled. I tried to explain that if you wore Charlotte's raincoat, that you would be dry, but that SHE would get wet. It's funny how you still sometimes see things only from your own perspective.
