Going to Church with Grandma Sawyer

Dear Ruby,

Last week you started going with Grandma Sawyer and Ellie to church on Wednesday nights for choir practice with the cherub choir. It combines your favorite things- Ellie, singing, dancing, and snacks.

You are so cute and have been excited about going all week- Everytime I bring itup, you copy what I would say, which you have started doing a lot of and is SO cute. I say "Are you going to church tonight?!" and you say "Umm Hmm.. Isn't it going to be So Fun?!" which is what I say to you right after that.

Another really cute thing you do with daddy is tell jokes. Daddy will say "Ruby I bet I can make you an INDIAN!" and you look at him and smile and say "How?". Then he says "I told you I could make you an indian!"

Dear Ruby,

On September 12th, 2009, you became a big sister! You were sleeping soundly, with grandpa Hatch "Pawpaw" babysitting downstairs.
So far, you seem to be adjusting well- you only want to help with the baby. You say "She's so cute. The bebe." You are learning to be gentle with her and that we can't play with her while she's sleeping. You are learning to share me and daddy too. It's a big job, but I know you can do it. You are anxious for her to get bigger so that you can play with her!

I hope that with all these wonderful changes and blessings that our family has had that YOU understand that you are loved (SO MUCH), that you are important, and I am so proud of you! You are such a little wonder to me and I can't wait to watch you grow up with your sister and teach her all the things you know.
