Package From "Esther D. Bunny"

Apparently, the Easter Bunny is no longer allowed to send packages under his own name with the US Postal Service. He sent Ruby a package in code... He gave it to grandma and grandpa first, and asked them to mail it for him under the name "Esther D. Bunny".

Ruby will have to wait until Easter to see it!! But it's got all kinds of great things in it!

This morning, Ruby woke up with croup!! We took her into the steamy bathroom and it helped, then we went to see Dr Campbell. Yesterday, she got her (two)! first major boo-boos!

I'm having trouble getting a picture of them but one bump is on her forehead (from running into the kitchen table) and one is on her chin (from tripping and hitting the newel post on the stairs). :( Poor Ruby!

This weekend, we drove up to the beautiful mountains of Roanoke to visit your Uncle Erich, and to attend the wedding of Kinsey Holder and Grayson Fore.
You got to try out your easter dress early and were the cutest little girl at the ball!

Ruby, the Little Baker

Happy St.Patrick's Day!! Ruby and I baked a lucky lemon cake that ended up with green icing and sprinkles. We got the recipe from our High-Five Magazine that Grandma Sawyer gave us and that we read this morning.

Speaking of GREEN, Dad is growing our first plants for Ruby's French Kitchen Garden in the Garage. Dad even built the bamboo light supports himself. Things are really starting to sprout! Soon, we'll be able to transplant our first seedings and savor our first homegrown summer veggies and herbs! Yumm!

Ruby's first big snowfall came on Sunday night, to the delight of schoolchildren (and their teachers) all over the East Coast. We played outside for a few minutes, then headed inside to get warm.
