She's Saving For Her College Fund
What a good little saver you are!! We made your first official deposit to your college savings fund today. We rode our bikes and you rode in your carriage.
Christmas 2008
We spent a wonderful Christmas this year!
On Christmas Eve, Ruby was an angel in our church's Christmas Pageant. She was SOO CUTE!
Santa came to our house and brought Ruby some dolls, a stove and some play food! Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Candy and Uncle Cliff all came to spend Christmas morning with us!
We went to Uncle Mike's house and rode his horse.
Then, we spent the evening with Jez and Shannon and played and danced with Ellie.

Twas 3 days before Christmas..
And all through the house,
Spiegel was patrolling the house for a mouse. (or pieces of cookie..)
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that Gramma, Pa, Aunt Candy and Uncle Cliff would soon be there.
This weekend we made gingerbread cookies. We made enough to take to 2 parties, but SPIEGEL was a bad boy and ate 6 cookies while we were gone.

Busy Day
Well sweet girl, we had our big appointment to see Dr Donna Brown, a pediatric opthamologist. We were concerned that you had a "lazy eye", which runs in our family on your dad's side. Fortunately, Dr Brown said everything was perfectly normal and the occasional assemetry we were noticing was actually just due to your epicanthal folds, which are larger than normal because your little nose is still developing. You did pretty well during all of the tests, especially enjoying the barking puppy dogs they wanted you to look at.
THEN... We took you to have your Christmas pictures taken with Santa which turned out beautifully. You were a little shy, which is normal for a girl your age, but we got some gorgeous shots that we'll enjoy forever. I'll put them up when we get them back. Your pupils were still a little dilated from your eye exam when your pictures were taken, so we'll see how those turn out too.

Our Christmas Tree
Ruby! You are not allowed to touch the christmas tree, which makes it ever so tempting. This is the closest I have let you get, just so that I could get a picture of you without sending mixed messages. So far, you've been SO good about not touching it!
