Vacation Favorites

These are just some of my favorites from our vacation.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year with my brother, your Uncle Cliff and your Aunt Candace in North Carolina. Your aunt is bringing you a new cousin!! She has just found out that she is pregnant and we are so excited!
You ate a little bit of everything, but was especially fond of Baby Noah.

Maymont

Last weekend, Ruby and I went to Maymont, which I thought you would LOVE, given your new affinity for GOATS. You were comPLETEly freaked out though.. and when I gave you some food for the goat and he fed himself out of your hand before you offered it, you made it quite clear you thought this was out of the question.

Ruby Babytalking To her Toy Lamb

This is you talking in your babytalk language to your pet lamb. I have absolutely no idea what you are saying, but you seem to be saying something very serious. It must be between you and him.

My Spooky Pumpkin

How cute are you?! You made it to about 5 houses. That's a lot of walking for little legs.

Ruby Update

Ok big girl, so here are someof cute things you are doing right now.

While we were on vacation, we went to the Roanoke Zoo, which was a very nice zoo. You were very intensely interested in the GOATS. After we introduced you to the goat, every animal you saw was a goat. We said, "Ruby, see the bear?" and you pointed to the bear and said "GOAT."

Ruby see the cougar? "GOAT."
See the birds? "goats"

So this morning, we were staying with our friends the Riccios. You had played with Luke, Gabriel and Jacob while me and your dad went to Aunt Amanda's Rockin 80's 40th birthday party. We came downstairs this morning and when you saw Merlin, their dog, I said "Ruby, say hello to Merlin!" and you just pointed and said "GOAT".

Another cute thing you've done since the beginning of October is call pumpkins "apples". Whenever you see pumpkins, you say "App- uhl". For a while, I didn't understand this and thought that you just REALLY liked apples all of a sudden. Then I noticed you said it a lot when we were out on walks and since it was October, you were talking about th epumpkins. And they DO look like apples. Sort of.
